The purpose of Big Data 2016 is to define the opportunities of conducting research with large astronomical data sets and the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST).
Researchers from the US and Chile will participate to discuss and further develop cooperative paths utilizing the LSST as a Big Data science resource.
Intensifying joint Chile-US funded research programs is the objective of the meeting.
Connecting with the Chilean community through the streaming network is an important piece to gathering comprehensive input.
