La Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación (UMCE) invita a participar de dos sesiones del Programa “Learning form mega disasters” a realizarse el 18 y 19 de abril de 2012.
18 de abril – Sesión 1: Medidas estructurales para el manejo de desastres, de 8.00 a 10.00 horas.
19 de abril – Sesión 2: Las medidas no estructurales de manejo de desastres 8.00 a 10.00 horas.

VC Program: “LEARNING FROM MEGA DISASTERS”
The program consists of 6 VC sessions (from April 18 to May 11) that are focussing on different themes of disaster management, particularly on lessons learnt of the Japan’s Great Earthquake hit on March 11, 2011.
GLDN, particularly GLDN for Assian Region, has been working with several departments of the World Bank as a partner to co-deliver the knowledge sharing sessions globally. The program manager is Mrs. Federica Rangheiri, Senior Urban Specialist of the World Bank.
For the significant relevance of this country, Chile has been selected as a participating country for the following sessions:
APRIL 18, SESSION 1, STRUCTURAL MEASURES FOR DISASTER MANAGEMENT, 08:00 – 10:00 local time.
APRIL 19, SESSION 2, NON-STRUCTURAL MEASURES FOR DISASTER MANAGEMENT, 08:00 – 10:00, LOCAL TIME.
